I have learned something that brings me deep joy. My long son (5'7" at 12yo, one of the tallest kids in Y8) has in his friendship group an even taller kid they call Burge. I assumed his name was Burgess or something? No. They don't call him Burge at all, they call him Burj, after the Burj Khalifa.

Unhinged? Most of the modern classic American literary ouvre is INCREDIBLY mid. The great gatsby? Sucks. The grapes of wrath? Sucks. Catcher in the rye? Sucks. To kill a mockingbird? Slaps. That's an exception to the rule.

I actually don't think it's unhinged but: If you're a man who considers himself well read, if you've studied literature and try to read "all the greats", but you haven't read a single Jane Austen story? Then I can't take your literary opinions seriously.

I'm so upset to hear this. I'm glad she's not suffering any more, I know the past few years were VERY difficult for her health wise and she struggled hugely financially. We all owe so much to Miss Major and her fellow activists. We were blessed she was with us for so long. I hope she's at peace.

One of the things I hear with some younger trans people I know is they feel, "I'm gonna get this surgery, and I'm gonna learn that way of speaking, and I'm gonna be done." You're never done. If you're a straight, cisgender person, you're never done. Things are always happening that have the potential to change you. So all I am today is not who I'm gonna be tomorrow, because of the things that happened to me today and later tonight. People forget that. "Oh, after I transition, I'm gonna be through." Well, good luck with that. 'Cause if you're through, then it's time to leave, you know, and I don't wanna go anywhere yet.
I'm in my seventies. Why didn't I stop? Number one is community. My gurls. I've had moments of thinking about stopping, but I didn't. I made sure I would step back, reju- venate myself, and then got back out there, and that's how you make a way. Our stories are not all the same, but the destination is: to get some place where we have some peace and harmony, and we can be at ease with ourselves and the people around us. You make the best of it all and hope you can help make it a little better for the gurl after you.

Tomorrow he will be four, his dream is to eat chicken again and he wants to be a Dr so he can treat his brother Jamal's diabetes 💔

Yes and no. I swear at the doctors but I do preface or follow it with an excuse my language. Garda and priest I'd expect. Doctor and nurse I'm not surprised by but they can all get fucked
