I've seen OBAA twice in the theaters here in Portugal, and the seats were full of Portuguese just taking in some escapist entertainment

It has its importance for documentation. And occasionally someone can turn a clip into art.

But by-and-large, it's just obnoxious, reactionary, content-flattening garbage. And people send it to me all the time.

I really wish I knew more about it. I had to read an art book for a library reading challenge this summer. I selected one on Bauhaus just because it was short and it was some of the best non-fiction I’ve read this year.

As a not-yet-out trans woman, watching it in high school was verboten by parents (Sex) and boys (Women) so I had to sneak it. Kept wondering why I enjoyed the scenes of the girls at brunches and trendy bars more than any of the romance.

I’m trying to keep solidarity with my trans sisters and I have appreciated other things she has shared.
