Honestly, much as I’d love him to do it, I hope he feels no pressure on that front, same as if the Vikings or Falcons win a title. Of course if Stieb gets into the HOF I would personally demand he does an epilogue to Captain Ahab

Oh I don’t think the point is that winning is bad either, I’m more against the idea that them winning the title would somehow be a beautiful capper to the whole thing as opposed to an incidental moment in the enjoyment of fandom

yeah I’m more or less the same, any King Kong from ‘71 is as worth hearing as a ‘68 version and the instrumental stuff is wonderful. Aynsley Dunbar is my favorite FZ drummer, bar none

That said, the best parts of this album - the instrumental stuff, the unbelievably slick segue into Willie the Pimp, the punchline to Do You Like My New Car? - are all up there with the best of FZ’s oeuvre, there’s a reason this was a top 40 album
