The "Cascajal Block" is an #Olmec engraved slab found in the State of #Veracruz, #Mexico in 1999. It has been dated to around 900-650 BC and may represent the oldest #writingsystem in the #Americas, since it contains 62 #undeciphered glyphs (many of them repeated).
