Been thinking in between projects and I realized that I didn't like Ma'renell and Jav-Ver's current designs. So I updated them!

For Ma'renell, I wanted to make Mar more friendly and approachable. For Jan, I wanted to give Jan a slightly more mature and unique appearance.

Digital sketch featuring two different versions of the same OC. In the sketch, there are portraits of the aforementioned OC, named Ma'Renell, to the left and right. To the left is Ma'Renell's older design that resembled what he looked like with he first appeared in his very first comic. In that version, he had round eyes that were notable sharper but still round eyes, thin eyebrows, straight hair that curves outwards, and much sharper jawline and nose.

To the right is Ma'renell's updated design, which features a significantly rounder jaw and rounder eyes that are more expressive, freckles, thicker, shorter eyebrows, wider and messier hair, and a broader nose. These traits were added to make the OC appear more friendly and approachable.

To the right is the updated version of Jan. It features a sharper, more unique jawline with notable jawbone protrusions at the side. A more "military-styled" hair cut where the sides of Jan's hair are shaved while the middle retains a curly patch of hair. Jan's eyes are signicantly narrower in this version as well as possessing far more noticeable vitiligo. These changes were done to make the OC look far more unique, interesting and slightly more mature in comparison to Ma'renell.
