#survelliance
AI's main reason for existence is survelliance.

Apple TV has a movie, "2076," that intermixes real events with a fictioned view of the dystopian future of mass survelliance in the U.S. But it's pretty accurate, imo, to what is soon to happen here when Ring & another 83,000 cameras were used to find ONE specific woman who had an abortion.

I have a whole take about the ring door cams, beyond their promotion of a horrible survelliance slate, that they're tapping into an increased unwillingness to tolerate any kind of risk in our lives.

Is your hometown, city, county one of the many that has a contract with the survelliance camera company, #FlockSafety? Check it out and if so, get active to get #FlockSafety gone!
A highly recommended, well-informed video that covers multiple problems with this company and their devices.

The data broker angle is an especially important topic to bring into the conversation.

Honestly I can't understand how people can install those things in their homes
I put tape over cameras in my laptop and disable any analytics/data sharing features I can find on my devices, and people put survelliance microphone in their living room to tell it to play the music? What the living fuck

All the fundamentals of internet safety are being broken and turned upside down by these very changes. They don't care about any minors. Survelliance was already a thing but increasing how invasive it gets is just insane. Never risk your personal data or money for this shit.

I think the message is so much much bigger than just that image - it's the survelliance society where we now live - facial recognition , CCTV everywhere etc - what Orwell warned us about and we didnt listem.

bastards. spontaneous alignment, normalizaton of survelliance. bastards!

Contrast to Obama who, when faced with the leaks showing mass, illicit survelliance of the American population, apologized and promised to do better. Even though he didn't, the facade did a better job of keeping presidents in check.

Trump just openly breaks the law and defies the courts.

Beto makes his money w/goverment subsidies. Survelliance systems is his JAM!

Then I watched MERCY, which was a neat little stupid thriller in the "searching online for records" screenlife vein. However, I'm pretty fresh out of the screening so I can't tell yet... Was this film a pro-survelliance Maga story????

Good grief, not even able to avoid catfishers on really sloppy socmed

never thought about consequences of intersection of survelliance and bad actors

This warning honestly needs to go out to the entire western world to be honest. Australia, Canada, Europe, and the UK are spilling in Authoritarian measures like Internet survelliance and anti Protest measures at an alarming rate. It Will only be a matter of time before they fall-

“No don’t worry, we don’t share information here. Everything stays in house”.

30 minutes later… survelliance friend messages me “Hey Steven, [CASINO NAME] just sent us your photo. Just letting you know”.

Thanks… 🙃

IOWA GOP REPUBLICANS MADE IOWANS A TEST FOR MASS SURVELLIANCE.. VOTE THEM OUT..
Iowa is a test case, not the headline.
This is what “modern governance” looks like when databases get linked: different agencies, one pipeline. If it can be built quietly in one state, it can be replicated anywhere.

The America Gives site allows folks to self report where & how they are volunteering. I don't like fueling the survelliance state & don't want anyone to put themselves in danger, but it would be amusing if #volunteers helping immigrants & refugees & fighting ICE flooded it with their service hours.

End ICE for Good

And also mass survelliance.
“This is a very dangerous tool in the hands of an out-of-control agency. This granular location information paints a detailed picture of who we are, where we go, and who we spend time with,” Nathan Freed Wessler, deputy project director of @aclu.org's Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, said.
