The neighbor just showed up with apology flowers. All is forgiven.
Not sure if a mutual neighbor or the cop tipped her off to what I wanted, or if she saw the light, but either way, this is how to do it. With flowers.
Kindness wins.
Happy Thanksgiving.

As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to your grocery store.

Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.

I hate calling the police. But my dog got attacked by a loose dog today on our walk & I was injured preventing my dog from harm.
A sincere apology & "are you okay? here's our phone number" would have stopped me. Instead, as they pulled the snarling dog away, they said "That's how he plays."

A plea to nonprofits (but, really to all):
"With millions in the international development and NGO sector still out of work after having the rug pulled out from under us, I humbly ask that when you see someone with 'too much experience' in the pile for one of your jobs that you don’t toss us out."

A.I. companies shouldn't just share revenue with publishers because it would be the right thing to do.

They should do it because it would be good business.

"device hoarding" also known as: When someone hasn't replaced the one phone that they have in a few years because they had no reason to. Words used to mean things.
stupid young people, stop buying a new phone every year if you don't want to be broke. wait no, not like that.

Device…hoarding. Because you don’t go get a new one while yours is still fine.

Apparently I am also practicing car hoarding, house hoarding, husband hoarding, dog hoarding, computer hoarding, furniture hoarding and art hoarding.

I am 30 pages into A Fever in the Heartland by Timothy Egan, about the rise of the Ku Klux Klan's in the 1920s. And I would like to know the difference between the 1922 KKK platform and the modern Republican Party, because I see no difference at all. And I'm not exaggerating.

Is someone at your nonprofit regularly reading about legislative proposals & executive orders that could affect your program?
No matter how small you are, you need someone doing this.
Lots of nonprofits provide updates regarding specific areas (housing, academia, etc.). Find them, read their stuff.
