I've been using it for a few years now and just love it. I don't use the Stellarmate App as much as a good old VNC connection to the RPi5 from my laptop, from the comfort of my couch 🙂.

Test avec un asiair, 30s de démarrage, tout ce qui est branché dessus est reconnu du 1er coup, et la cam tourne sans jouer les intermittences de transmission de données.

Different tools for different people/jobs. I started with APT and moved to EKOS (aka Astroberry, which is basically Stellarmate). I find that the development effort for useful plugins is in the NINA world so I switched there. I'm not going to tech-shame you though. Use what works! 😆

I find kstars on which StellarMate is based to be pretty reliable that’s why I after years of using it running on a RPi4 I bought the StellarMate pro. The app can be a bit flakey but using a vpn connection to access the desktop version of Kstars is perfect

Another disasterous session with NINA and I've had it with that! Two crashes and an autofocus plug in that's hopeless! Back to the ASIAIR plus and probably the Stellarmate Pro/ Astrostation!

Ca fait un moment que j'utilise ça. Plusieurs possibilités: se connecter au serveur Indi du RPi via un client Ekos sur son PC/Mac; se connecter au RPi via VNC, ou par l'application mobile Stellarmate (j'utilise pas). Avantage: compatible avec tout et pas juste du matos Zwo (ex: focuser PrimaLuce).

C'est franchement pas user friendly.
J'arrive à lancer une vidéo, avec toute l'image (j'ai changé le câble usb3 d'origine zwo par qque chose de plus fiable).

C'est en quelque sorte ça en effet. Un RPi qui fait tourner une Debian avec KStars/Ekos pour l'acquisition et qui pilote le matériel avec les pilotes Indi. Tout ça est 100% Open Source mais comme je suis fainéant et qu'il faut bien soutenir tout ce travail, j'ai acheté une licence Stellarmate OS.

Nice! Greetings from Santa Rosa. I was going to ask about your rig when I saw your Crescent. Mine's similar: EvoStar 120ED, EQ6-R Pro, QHY268, Optolong LRGB & SHO, PPBAG2. Stellarmate and PHD2 on RPi5. Your images give me hope; all I need to do now is make sense of PixInsight. 😎

I've been using SharpCap since day one and can't seem to get into NINA or ASIAIR or Stellarmate even though I have both. It's difficult with so few clear sky nights to have any time to experiment with anything else.
