Two people were killed after a small plane crashed into several semitrailers, setting them on fire near an airfield outside Fort Worth on Sunday, the authorities said.

I am mostly vexed by the traffic systems - giant freeways and highways blasting with semitrailers and aggressive drivers in SUVs wanting to weave through traffic, people not thinking or paying attention. Asphalt, rubber on the road - some poor pigeon gets squashed - and they call this progress!

Almost got turned into a pancake between two semitrailers when the one in front had to slow down suddenly and the one behind me clearly didn’t want to and only did it because the driver didn’t want a manslaughter charge.

Many of passenger vehicle and VRU deaths from underride crashes with semitrailers can be prevented with side guards. It is appalling that NHTSA suppressed side underride data due to regulatory capture by the trucking industry.
