The Democratic party is just a container. It innately means what we want. We need to transform and reconstitute it into a real progessive force. We need to kick out all the Corporate shills who talk a good game but have no convictions, no spine.

So is this the progessive version of the rights Soros dogwhistle? Sure seems like it. It’s gross.
You can (and should) be critical of both AIPAC and the Democrats caving in the shutdown, without going all “Soros paid them!” about it. 😒
Where is your list for the Airline PACs $s?
Do better.

Who said anything about enjoying the division?
Liberals are the primary impediment to progessive/leftist politics, and it's pretty much entirely on them.
Because when push comes to shove they side with fascists EVERY TIME if the alternative means having to actually change anything.

So, on these figures, half the UK favours a broadly "progessive" government (Labour/LibDem/SNP/Green/Plaid), but our "first past the post" voting system would let a far right party romp into parliament with a 60 MP majority based on 30% of the vote.

Mamdani's going to go the AOC route, or at least something quite similar. And I'm completely fine with that. In a big tent party like the Democrats, excessively rigid purity limits what you can actually get accomplished.
Being a forever outside will not steer Dems in a more progessive direction.

Alt: a man in a Vice President Kamala Harris shirt is dancing next to a dancing VP Kamla Harris ESQ in with a Grey suit jacket court casual. With the words Madam Vice President as a defing front and center water mark.
She is caring and stands up for people withe the intelect that respects from her education and history as a prosecutor. It is what happens when you have a brain and a heart.
During the 2024 election season she was just as nice as she was told to be. To humbly accept the epitaths and lies being spewed by djt. She lost because she cared and argued like she cared.
Different times but it worked because MAGA was allowed to show their true sounds.

Interesting illustration. Progessive taxes for the rich is justified and pure logic.
The counter argument: I have the right to do what I want. And I don’t care about other people. I am not responsible for their poordom.

When he is elected, he will be become keenly aware that he will be mayor for all New Yorkers, not just liberal or progessive New Yorkers. And, he doesn't owe anyone a thing. He just owes all New Yorkers to respect their issues. I am liking him more and more.

💯 We think in all our years of phone banking, the one takeaway is that the American people have strong opinions about everything and very little knowledge. It's been nice to shave off razor thin margins of ignorance and turn them into wins for worthwhile progessive causes and candidates. 💪

I hope @lukaszukab.bsky.social might want to create a party to carry the progessive conservative banner in AB.
It's been gone for a dozen years.
Some stayed with the stench of the UCP ... some leaned orange ... but if such a group arose, you'd be surprised at just how many want to come home.
