There are multiple misconceptions about the use of writing instruments in space. While there were some issues with pencils in space, they were a bit overblown. The vast majority of writing in space is done electronically.

There are a lot more marketing types running around in right-of-center political circles than left of center circles, which is a type of rhetoric. This may be one of the contributing factors to the right's ability to spread their messages and brand faster than left of center political operatives.

I think a pseudo-niche political opinion that I’m developing is judge-maxing. Both the United States and the world generally need far greater number of judges. I think we need legal-abundance: an oversupplied court system able to both clear simple cases quickly and devote more time to complex ones.

3 days into antibiotics and ear drops. The right ear feels much better, it's just VERY ITCHY NOW. I think it's part of the healing process.

I'm tried to fight the urge to use a q-tip, but I failed. Gonna try not to do that again until the infection's completely cleared...

Do not get an ear infection as an adult. This fucker went from mildly annoying to near wisdom teeth extraction-level pain in like 24 hours.

Yes I went to the walk-in clinic straight from work so I could get ear drops and doxycyclene.

It hurts to swallow...

Hi everyone,

I've been going over our money situation, and here's where I'm at: I still owe about $1300 in back taxes, and I miscalculated my website renewal fee, which is about $360. There's a $240 bill I thought was going to be covered by insurance, too, but seems not to have been. If I keep my website active this month, I'm definitely going to be short on rent.

What makes all of this so tough is that in addition to being functionally unable to work for most of the summer, I was really hoping to be reimbursed by now for the nearly $3000 that we lost earlier this year due to a billing error. But I still haven't seen any of that money, and am worried now we may never get it back.

I'm setting a somewhat ambitious longer-term crowdfund goal of about $2450 for now, with the hope that I can raise enough to make ends meet this month and then start paying off the rest.

Thankfully, my mental health seems to be slowly but steadily improving, which means I should be able to bring in more money next month, but it's been a rough time getting there.

Any donations of any size would be hugely helpful right now. You all have been positively heroic in helping my partner and me keep a roof over our heads, and in being a light of hope for me while I've worked my way out of suicidal depression. Bear God also wants you all to know how sincerely and deeply they appreciate everything you've done for us.

Admin 47 is a multi-headed hydra of greed, hatred, obsession with power, and corruption. I'd say from a raw human suffering perspective the USAID cuts is probably the worst. The One Big Billionaire Bailout Bill is a close second, but there's so many decisions vying for 3rd place...
