Just thinking: I am a double-boarded physician-scientist at @uclahealth.org, but I grew up in poverty. Gov't provided the welfare & foodstamps that aided my refugee family. Gov't grants subsidized my education.
I am only where I am today bc of the #America that was. And it makes me want to cry.

Why the hell would any woman/mother listen to a senile old man that is not a physician, scientist, or even in possession of a half of a functioning brain?

Another important piece from the Star's health reporter, Megan Ogilvie.
“When we talk about the primary care crisis, we often focus on patients who don’t have a family doctor. But we looked at nearly 10 million patients who do have a family doctor & they’re still struggling to get care.”

My boss’s husband was British and definitely looked like this! Actually did some modeling growing up (they even showed pics at a #cardiology conference dedicated to him last week), but he became a physician scientist and fell in love with and married a very strong smart Asian American woman, oops

Important topics like DEI are insufficiently discussed b/c so much chaos.
This article in BMJ cites high quality evidence that a diverse physician workforce achieves better patient outcomes.
Personal Note: My late father was a truly great physician scientist-he understood this so well-thanks Dad ❤️👊🏼🔥

Cass pretty obviously collaborated with Genspect, even without an FOI. No reputable scientist or physician would cite an idiot like Lisa Littman unless they had an agenda.

What reputable physician or scientist is testing sperm counts in teenage boys to draw any scientific conclusions?
No one.
Mehmet Oz should have his license stripped away from him for standing there giving this credibility.

he was unqualified for this job. he is not a physician, nor a scientist nor any degree in Healthcare.
he is a charlatan. he is not a good person. he is the biggest snake oil idiot that I have ever seen, and his nonsense foolishness will harm people who are gullible enough to fall for his lunacy.

WP's post didn't get any traction here on Bluesky, but w 800k followers, their social media team has a responsibility to ensure every post represents truth.
The truth is that Casey Means is not and has never been a "world-class physician and scientist", irrespective of the absurd delusions of HHS.
The truth is that Casey Means is not and has never been a "world-class physician and scientist", irrespective of the absurd delusions of HHS.
In a statement, HHS called Means a “world-class physician and scientist whose nomination as Surgeon General reflects her deep understanding of modern metabolic health and her fierce commitment to evidence-based care.”
She left the medical mainstream and rose to be RFK Jr.’s surgeon general pick
Casey Means, the surgeon general nominee, has criticized the medical establishment. She could be put in position to change it.

Tylenol is NOT linked to autism: “What one person who isn’t a trained scientist or physician believes should not get the same weight as what scientific evidence has found through rigorous study.”

I'm a physician & scientist, so of course I decry the pseudoscience you refer to. Charen mentions "undermining the availability of vaccines," but not magic.
The statement "magic isn't real" is like "deities aren't real": it's about belief—or lack thereof. We use magic in every one of our rituals.

People in my comments are telling me, a physician and scientist, that we should believe what RFK Jr and DJT said last week about Tylenol because we should believe “scientists.” It makes me wonder: do they even know how to tell if someone is a scientist?
