the fucked up thing is that video is a compilation of individual level speedruns. but someone actually did a single-session, full megawad, max run of sunlust! and then someone ELSE beat that speedrun by almost an hour and a half (current record: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO-y...)

I used something called crispy doom for a megawad that relied on vanilla doom glitches for its secret maps.

I enjoyed the bouncy snappy crosshair option i found, almost like a retro re4 laser light

Cliffside Seige, made in 5 days somehow, because Joshy is just built different. He actually does have his TP closets hooked up via a dummy sector, but the closets are like daisy chained together for sound propogation from this one sector.

Unorthadox, but looks kinda funky in a cool way.

Despite my longtime megawad skepticism, I’ve gotta admit that the (too) vast canvas of 32 maps is p good for pushing one towards goofy one-off gimmicks, which is obv my shit. Case in point is “Trio Astronauta” from the space ep of my wip megawad, where I go all out on triangles and groupings of 3 🚀

More pics from the monochrometex episode of my wip megawad. I was on the fence about this theme for a while, since the project generally sticks to IWAD textures with light map-specific embellishments, but these solid colors do bring out something cool in Doom’s default palette and colormap.
