Taking a brief break in my Evil Dead watching for a certified classic, Lamberto Bava's DEMONS. Insanely cool film, yucky special effects, and more splatter than you can shake a sword at. This is the good stuff

It's been some years since I've seen Army of Darkness, but I recall feeling let down compared with Evil Dead 2. Granted it's still excellent, but it's so hard to match 2's brilliance. I'm looking forward to watching it again, maybe I'll get a chance on Sunday night

Watching Evil Dead 2 now, and it's amazing how it's so much more polished than the first film, but maintains a manic, independent energy from the very start. Sam Raimi is right up there with Peter Jackson for the best to ever do it with splatstick horror comedy

Woke up thinking about how good The Evil Dead is, I think I'm left with no choice but to watch The Evil Dead II tonight. The thought of this will keep me going through the day, because I won't be home until like 15 hours from now

The stop motion in Evil Dead is beautiful, just absolutely stunning stuff. Tom Sullivan worked magic in that movie
