#light-worker
Tonight, as the candles burn and the names are spoken, we remember that every light represents not only loss, but legacy. Each flame is a promise - that we will not disappear quietly, that we will not accept invisibility, and that we will keep fighting until every sex worker can live free from fear.

This is a bait post but it’s so bad it’s fine to dunk on. Media reporters should be asking editors how this saw the light of day as well as what The Atlantic’s policy is on screaming racist slurs at customers. Talk to the Newsguild / CWA about how anti-worker this take is, too.
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

Trump and the GOP keep saying they are going to make things affordable while claiming that affordability is a Democrat hoax. Regardless, they'd rather watch working Americans eat shit and die than make healthcare affordable.

Hello fellow Social Workers and Happy Jane Addams Day! As you know, Jane Addams was a social worker, organizer, and peace activist who co-founded Hull House in Chicago. She's also the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931.

Yesterday, getting off the #metro / #skytrain in downtown #Vancouver a couple of workers, I assume, fixing a lamppost... I liked the perspective formed by the movable platform... and why not.. the blue sky so uncommon in the #westcoast in December

my brain was not made to cognate “the erratic silent flashing of extremely bright light into the window is not caused by a writhing cosmic horror floating in midair but the head lamp of a tree worker grooming the top of a mostly obscured palm tree in pitch blackness” but we got there

Hi! Hello!
Your art and character designs look really cool!

Here are some of my pieces.
I like doing character designs and drawing big guy.
I unfortunately don't have as much free time to draw so I don't art as often as I want. ^^"

And Alt Text was added! Took me a bit, but it's there.

Why do I have to pass a drug test to assemble light fixtures as a temp worker but they don't have to take one to run the country?
December 5, 2025 at 2:23 AM
I personally will never proclaim myself as a "light worker" because the potent, fertile soil for growth and being of service lies within the Shadow.

Denying reality of this oppressive society does not allow for us to do the work.

Anything short of that is not awakened consciousness.
