In Surrey, BC, a land acknowledgement recognizes the unceded traditional territories of several First Nations, including the Semiahmoo, Katzie, Kwikwetlem, Kwantlen, Qayqayt, and Tsawwassen Nations. This practice shows respect for the Indigenous peoples and their connection to the land.
