Yes they are... effects of Trisomy 21 are on a very wide spectrum of characteristics, but I was referring to it as being an anomalous but fairly rare genetic condition, not as rare as those who're "intersex" which is the usual meaningless argument put forward by those deep in the cult. (Mostly men)

The principle of not singling out trans girls for discrimination in sports is important regardless of how common it is. The actual percentage of trans, nonbinary, and intersex students is much higher and we need to protect all of them and not make arguments that minimize the number of affected kids.

But they're two sides of the same coin, and at least the major intersex organizations see it and promote solidarity. But we as transfeminists also need to really understand that perspective, and those dynamics, to further fill out our models of how our oppression functions.

And then you get intersex people with this horrible trauma and non-functional genitalia who hear about trans people who *want* that sort of surgery, and who are "forcing children to get genital mutilation surgery", and it fuels some incredibly intense transmisogyny in the more reactive people
