#hidradenitis
OK HI SO
I am not 24/7 but I have hidradenitis suppurativa which involves very painful cysts!! My best advice is to use a medical antibiotic soap, idk what brands you have there but I use hibiclens. Every time I shower I use it during my routine when I have 2-3mins to let it sit on areas that rub

Humira & Bimzelx have been life changing for me. I used both of them ( not together) for Hidradenitis Suppurativa ( HS). Stock up on various bandages, gauze, Hibaglens wash is also amazing. Lume deodorant works pretty good for deodorant.

I am still so glad I waited half a year to see an expert at a hidradenitis clinic and she gave me a printout of advice that has basically become my bible. eating less milk protein and using zinc dandruff shampoo as a body wash have helped immensely and i never would have guessed to do either

hidradenitis reddit needs to stfu about "oh switch to native/ lume/ etc etc", that garbage costs like $15 a stick, doesn't work, and "natural" absolutely does not mean "won't give you a flare-up", individual personal trial and error is the only way to figure that last part out

When I got Moderna in February 2025 it literally yanked me out of 7 years in remission. After that I found all the clinical studies suggesting protein vaccines are the safest bet with hidradenitis 🙃

its a fucking miracle that last month I carelessly got an mRNA booster instead of Novavax, but I didn't get another nightmare hidradenitis flare up requiring urgent care. no idea how that would have shook out w insurance, and when you need antibiotics and drainage, you need antibiotics and drainage
