What IS insulting is that is that he taking a swipe at our ‘lack of intelligence’ by voting the SNP for 28 years.
That smile will be wiped off his face when Labour face a demoralising defeat starting next year and in 29.
Let’s start with Grangemouth Starmer……

What a nerve Starmer has! His government is causing a crisis in the care sector by removing visas for overseas workers + job losses in many sectors including struggling local authorities by increasing employer NI costs. Scotland has the best performing NHS & lowest child poverty tx to SNP.

Emissions from five major Scottish incinerators now exceed those of some of the country’s usual big polluters, including fossil fuel sites like the now-closed Grangemouth refinery and Peterhead power station.

With the disappointment of Starmer, his betrayal of Grangemouth, WASPI, pensioners, disabled, his 'Island of Strangers' speech, the authoritarian stance on Palestine protestors, his pro Zionism, and now the prospect of a far right Farage led government, we should have well over 60% of Yes voters

"Time and time again we have seen what happens when the private sector is allowed to determine the future of our energy industry – from Grangemouth to St Fittick’s Park, workers and communities are being run over roughshod on the whims of the wealthy"

Scotland Demands Better and we are right to.
Deindustrialisation and the devastating social consequences of poverty and inequality that it brings must be addressed by both the UK & Scottish Governments.
I'll be marching with Keep Grangemouth Working and @unitetheunion.bsky.social on Saturday.

Decades of private capital being in charge of the key industries we need have only benefited billionaires like Jim Ratcliffe while failing the public.
The UK & Scottish Govs should seize the future by taking at least some form of ownership of what comes next at Grangemouth.

We need an investigation 🔎
Downing Street quick to rescue Scunny. That was right. But cut Scotland adrift with a token gesture of 'help' after promising to save Grangemouth.
How much would a new Firecracker have cost for Grangemouth.?Grangemouth recently had begun to turn it around.

Ok, having a thick moment, but does Jim Ratcliffe still own Grangemouth whilst the Scottish Gov invests in the plant to develop future sustainable/ green energy projects/jobs/ Scottish Manufacturing (some money has also been given by Westminster but not a match on what it's given to Scunthorpe)

Around 450 jobs have been lost at the Grangemouth oil refinery due to its closure.
The refinery, Scotland's only oil processing facility and the UK's oldest, stopped crude oil operations in April 2025.
None of the £200 million pledged by the UK government for Grangemouth has been paid out.

Could have done - with £600 million.
Anyway, To the point of my post - Labour and Sarwar promised to save the jobs of those at Grangemouth during an election campaign but didn't.
450 people lost their jobs instead.

the UK government provided a £600 million loan guarantee to Ineos for his petrochemical plant in Belgium. This was announced to back the expansion of plastic production at his site, specifically for a new plant producing recyclable plastics - an Ineos's Project.

I seem to remember Labour drones wringing their hands over Grangemouth and insisting they could do nothing because it was a private company. Like JLR is.

Ok, we spent £600M to close Grangemouth and god knows how much to save Prax Lindsey, we scraped £200M to save jobs at Grangemouth (haven't saved any yet, but we're talking 🤔) Oh and there's no way there'll be a second referendum no matter how many SNP/ Indy seats at HR26🙉🙈🙊
