My uncle was a cop. He once was tasked with picking up (Prince) Andrew at Edinburgh Airport and running him to St Andrews.
The prick told him to put his foot down and break the speed limit because "I'm above the law"
Soul albums I'd never heard previously but turned out to be very good #17
Just saying... follow the timeline...
Bob Dylan and I have, between us, written hundreds of world class songs. To be fair, they're all his, but still...
Watching the news in Portugal last week, I could not work out why the caption was telling me that Trump and Zelenski were meeting in Casablanca.

Films better than their source book? I'll go first:
Jaws
The Prestige
Children of Men.
Coldplay were an offshoot. Most of the line-up went in to form Matthew, Mark, Luke & Ringo.
Just drove down Menlove Avenue. Working class hero, my arse.

...the "Use of Jazz as a Weapon in the Cold War", or the "Black Gospel Quartet Tradition". There's books on them.
"Mississippi Antibellum Fiddle Music", "Yodelling & Meaning in American Music", or "Race in Early American Punk"?
Yup, they've got that.

I love the American Made Music book series. 110 books on obscure corners of American music.
Want a book on "Black Travelling Shows of the early 1900's", "Louisiana Fiddlers", or "Mississippi Delta Hip-Hop"? They've published it.
Need to know about "Go Go Music from Washington DC", ...

I managed to wake myself enough to switch on "record" and sing the song, half asleep, then went back to my dreams, content I had written a surefire hit.

In the morning, I rushed to play back the recording...
To find myself slowly humming the melody of "Happy Birthday To You."
