This weekend thousands of people will march to say Scotland Demands Better.

I’ll always raise the issue of food insecurity and work with the Government and @trusselluk.bsky.social @trussellscot.bsky.social to end it.

See you at the @povertyalliance.org march on Saturday ✊
Unlike the SNP, I have always been against mandatory digital ID.

The SNP want you to forget that they spent £7 million on a digital passport that breached data privacy laws by giving your data away.

The SNP hypocrisy on digital ID is staggering, but not surprising.
Sending my support to the Turners Q8 workforce involved in their pay dispute.

The cost of living crisis is raging on and to be offered a measly 1% increase when Turners made £53 million last year is an insult to the workers.

Solidarity ✊ @unitetheunion.bsky.social
There is an extreme hooligan element of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans that consistently behave in this manner 👇
Colleges are the backbone of working class communities and the SNP are destroying further education.

I’ll continue to fight for the future of the Alloa Campus and the life chances of Clackmannanshire people.
Scotland Demands Better and we are right to.

Deindustrialisation and the devastating social consequences of poverty and inequality that it brings must be addressed by both the UK & Scottish Governments.

I'll be marching with Keep Grangemouth Working and @unitetheunion.bsky.social on Saturday.
Decades of private capital being in charge of the key industries we need have only benefited billionaires like Jim Ratcliffe while failing the public.

The UK & Scottish Govs should seize the future by taking at least some form of ownership of what comes next at Grangemouth.
Private capital and foreign governments being in charge of vital infrastructure is a political failure of the last 4 decades.

The government should take at least some form of ownership of what our nation relies on.

Because private capital always puts profits over people.
Thanks to John Glencross and the Football Memories Group for the @alloaathletic.co.uk club tie!

It was worn with pride in the HoC chamber today!

The Wasps are a huge part of the
Clackmannanshire community and good luck to them for the League 1 fixture v East Fife at The Recs this weekend 🧡🖤⚽️
It’s a politicians job to represent their constituents interests and sometimes that means holding your own government to account. I’ve done that. Keith Brown hasn’t because he doesn’t want to admit that the SNP have caused the crisis that means Alloa Campus could close 👇
SNP ferries that never sail, hospitals in crisis, schools falling apart & a shameful housing shortage…in the @dailyrecord.co.uk.web.brid.gy I say it's time Scotland gets the change we need & have a @scottishlabour.bsky.social government in Holyrood working with a Labour government in Westminster

🌹 Great to see activists at our joint fringe event with CLPD, discussing how we can organise for a transformed, democratic Labour Party.

Thanks to @brianleishmanmp.bsky.social @richardburgon.bsky.social @jessicabarnard.bsky.social Gemma Bolton and @mineshparekh.bsky.social for their contributions.
Digital ID is not about stopping illegal immigration and it won't stop black market employment.

What it will boost is private capitals share price and make billions for corporations and widen societal inequality.

Capitalism in action. This should never be Labour Party policy.
I’d like to thank Rami the Chief Executive at CHAS for welcoming me to Rachel House in Kinross.

Since 1992, CHAS has been an incredible support to families from all over Scotland and right now, they are helping 21 families from Alloa & Grangemouth.

Thanks again to Rami and all the staff ❤️

The Government's own Child Poverty Taskforce has recommended scrapping the two child benefit cap.

Conference delegates can make their own feelings clear by voting for SUPPORTING FAMILIES in the Priorities Ballot on Sunday to force a proper debate.

Time to scrap the cap.
Sir Keir Starmer will be told by senior cabinet ministers that lifting the two-child cap is the most effective way of alleviating child poverty amid mounting pressure from ministers and backbenchers

Great to be at the Home Start AGM and listen to the parents, volunteers, staff and trustees sharing their experiences.

Thanks to everyone involved with Home Start for the positive impact they make for so many children, young people and families across Clackmannanshire 💜
The SNP say they’re “Stronger for Scotland”…

What about how hard it is to see a doctor/dentist? NHS wait times? The state of education? Cuts to the Fire Service putting communities in danger? Council underfunding so essential services are cut?

Scotland pays the price of 2 decades of SNP failure 👇
The Forth Valley Alloa Campus is a huge part of life in Clackmannanshire. It’s provided thousands of local people with skills to make a career.

£2.5m would secure the future of our college and I have written to the First Minister requesting a meeting to save Further Education in Clacks.

Labour's lurch to the right in Government is shattering their voter base and creating a chasm between members and the senior figures of the party.

@brianleishmanmp.bsky.social calls on the party to govern with the movement and respect members' voices.

Not everyone who has joined the protests outside hotels where asylum seekers are staying would call themselves far right

But anyone who stands with people making Nazi salutes and holding up signs bearing white supremacist slogans ought to conclude that they are on the wrong side
Richard Leonard MSP: ‘Let us vow to change it….and let us be united’
Let me speak as plainly as I can, the protests outside the Cladhan Hotel have been fuelled by far right propaganda and attended by neo-Nazis, and I stand fully behind the anti-racist campaigners who f...

The Prime Minister promised £200m to build Grangemouth for the industrial future Scotland needs.

I've spoken in Parliament many times about the need for both the UK & Scottish Government’s to take at least some form of ownership of our energy infrastructure👇

We had a brilliant day playing in the Maggie’s Centre golf day at Falkirk Tryst Golf Club!

The course was in fantastic condition and congratulations to everyone at Maggie’s for organising and raising £11,050 🧡🏌️
I co-sponsored the 10 Minute Bill because ending the 2 Child Benefit Cap would lift hundreds of thousands of kids out of poverty.

That’s what a Labour government should do.
What a relief for my constituents who work at Alexander Dennis.

Thanks to Ministers in both gov's for engaging with me on saving hundreds of jobs & the future of Scottish bus manufacturing.

This approach for the benefit of people & communities is the way politics should work.
In July, four of us had the party whip suspended for defending disabled people and fighting for the real values of the Labour Party.

Mandelson has not been suspended.
