I was delighted that my Labour government delivered justice for ex miners on BCSSS. This will give a big pension uplift to people from Alloa & Grangemouth 👍

A special thanks to our constituent Stewart Livingstone who worked with me in representing those people on the scheme ✊

Let's make this Budget a true Labour budget that lifts people out of poverty and gets good well paid and skilled jobs into Grangemouth.

Thanks to Lorraine Joyce and family for campaigning to highlight that so many young people die from undiagnosed heart conditions following her son Aiden's passing.

I have submitted a Written Question to the Health Sec regarding making heart screening for young people mandatory.

Tillicoultry residents impacted by RAAC have had their lives turned upside down and 2 years down the line the Scottish Government have abandoned them.

Today, once again, I highlighted the residents heartbreaking situation in Housing and Communities Questions in Westminster.

Another excellent 3 points for @stenhousemuirfc.com yesterday ⚽️

Great to catch up with Antonia the CEO on Friday and hear more about the brilliant community work the club are doing 👏👏

This morning I joined students, lecturers, trade unionists and @richardleonardmsp.bsky.social at Alloa Campus and spoke about how important it is that our college in Clackmannanshire is saved and receives the funding it deserves.

The Scottish Government must fund further education properly.

The workers at Turners have been offered a miserly 1% pay rise while the cost of living crisis rages on.

No worker deserves to get poorer.

Great to stand on the picket line in solidarity yesterday morning ✊

I've had lots of questions about me getting the whip back and why I wanted it back.

It's because I believe the Labour Party remains the most likely vehicle to deliver the change we desperately crave and the best place for me to effect that change is within the party 🌹

Whether it be football, gigs or shows…touts and resale sites have ripped off those who want to attend.

This ban put in place from the Labour government is excellent and will open up access for people to enjoy entertainment and sports events by making them more affordable.

Tillicoultry RAAC residents who have had their world turned upside down for years are due a fair settlement so they can have somewhere they can call home.

The SNP can’t hide from this any longer, they have to do what’s right and give RAAC impacted people justice.

The British people won't benefit from billions of Es spent on jets to launch nuclear missiles that would kill millions of people.

British people do however, need billions of £s spent on public services that will improve millions of lives.

The Budget gives the Chancellor the opportunity to change course.

People need this Labour government to get the cost of living down, end austerity and lift millions out of poverty.

Demanding that the leadership deliver that change is the duty of a Labour MP.

Huge congratulations to Sunnyside Primary School in Alloa for reaching the finals of the Kellogg's Breakfast Club Awards!

Breakfast clubs aren't just about a meal - they’re about giving every child the best possible start to the day.

Well done to all the staff and pupils! 👏

It was a privilege to attend both the Grangemouth and Carronshore Remembrance Services today and to honour all the service men and women who have kept us safe and defended freedom.

It was absolutely brilliant to see the CAMRA Alloa Beer Festival so busy at the Town Hall!

A huge well done to all the volunteers and festival goers that made it such a great event!

Good to be back in the Parliamentary Labour Party. People can rest assured that I will continue to represent my constituents' interests & to improve living standards.

This Labour government must change course & govern by real Labour Party values. That's what I'll fight for.

The Labour Party should govern by real Labour Party values.

The leadership must appreciate this and change course.

It is a stain on this country that there are still people living in flammable cladded buildings like Grenfell.

And as well as the victims & families, the firefighters of @fbunational.bsky.social that now suffer from diseases because of their heroic efforts at Grenfell, deserve answers too.
November 5, 2025 at 1:56 PM
It was an honour to represent all the communities of Alloa & Grangemouth in the Constituency Garden at Westminster.

Remembering all our brave service men and women that have given so much to keep us safe.

Tony Benn and Mick McGahey were giants of the labour and Anti-Nuclear weapons movements.

They knew that building weapons of mass destruction is immoral, dangerous and no way to improve the lives of ordinary people.

We don't need more bombs or killing @scottishcnd.bsky.social

The Labour Party way is to lift people out of poverty. Lift the 2 Child Cap now.
November 4, 2025 at 1:20 PM
It's simple. The Budget has to tax the multimillionaires and billionaires and invest in the public services we need.
November 4, 2025 at 11:53 AM
Great to visit Alloa family business Central Rebar to speak with Kenny Jackson & his daughter Claire about different issues, challenges & opportunities.

I'll write to ministers raising concerns around steel imports & make sure local businesses, such as Central Rebar, have a voice in Parliament.

It was an honour to speak at @scottishcnd.bsky.social yesterday and talk about how increasing military spending is not the answer to the social problems created by austerity.

Instead, let's invest in people, communities and the public services that will actually improve living standards.
