Wargroove on hard is challenging. What's not pictured is an enemy tree colossus beating my HQ down to 4 as I desperately pivot to killing the enemy commander.

Like it feels like a total crapshoot as to if it's either too chaotic, too empty, or both at the same time, and unlike Smash, the controls just aren't rewarding enough to make wrangling around my potentially crappy star around the map. This doesn't feel made with this type of racing game in mind.

Super Mario Galaxy (replay from about 6 years ago) #rollcredits. It’s still a great game. Glad it’s back out there. All-timer of a soundtrack. Joy-Con 2 controls, detached from the system, were solid. Wish fire levels worked differently / were less punitive, but that’s a 3D Mario problem in general.

I can see why people would want it, but I wouldn't wish it on people without controls being updated. My hands cramped so much from playing that game, as fun as it was.

Finished up Metroid Prime Hunters and I think this is a very solid Metroid game! Impressive for a DS title despite the controls and repetitive bosses! The hunters are cool though and very unique to this title!! #Metroid #MetroidPrimeHunters

another is the rpg/adventure game lying to your face later on to mix things up. even where it's obvious if you step back from the controls, the player is drilled into "hear thing, press x, make thing happen, player gets what they want" that it can easily feel the game is having fun at their expense

Fighting games? I'd say Street Fighter 6; it have an awesome single player mode that's good for content I feel as well as players not that familiar with fighting (the game will teach you, as well as has easier controls for people who need them). Okay, I think that may cover it. Lmk what you think!

I crafted this mini stage for quick fun—give it a try! Free in the browser, simple controls, and retro charm. Your feedback is appreciated!

'Kabuki Warriors' released on this day in 2001.

From the creators of Bushido Blade came another attempt to slickly stylize the fighting game genre. Unfortunately, ultra-simple controls gives way to a lack of variety, resulting in one of the original Xbox's lowest-rated games.

I got the new Katamari game a while back but I forgot just how hard these games are and I'm struggling to get past like the third level :') the controls are so frustratingly non-intuitive and seemingly non-responsive

I think we finally have a good heading on the game we’re making as I opened up our alpha demo after a few days off just to test a PlayStation controller and I was smiling throughout enjoying the controls and movement… it’s a weird feeling and I like it. #gamedev -will be able to share more soon!

Funny how quick the shift is from cool uncle to substitute parent when they’re both away. Today I caught myself asking about parental controls on a game I’ve never heard of, looking up parent notes on IMDb, and monitoring YouTube channels based on the volume of laughter

Like the first game is the best (multiplayer) but I've never really like, noticed problems with controls.

I think I saw that Sonic robo blast 2 dude talk about it on one of his videos (before he started strobing the map) but otherwise yeah, no one seems to notice.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Blaze the Cat and her nemesis, Eggman Nega, both debuted in Sonic Rush. It's also the 20th anniversary of the Shadow the Hedgehog video game, and the debut of Black Doom.

I revisited some menu screens. I implemented keyboard controls for your coop partner (it will utilize the secondary keybindings). I also made the button prompts display Keys AND game pad button prompts! #screenshotsaturday

on a hybrid VR / flat screen game inspired by, half life alyx (and similar, such as amnesia, etc) and am hoping to achieve being able to switch seamlessly between VR and standard display without having to reset the game. Bummed out, as I've been planning with the index's hand controls in mind.
November 15, 2025 at 9:47 PM
the index's?

I think something like those with a more full sized trackpad would be ideal - in addition to the game buttons. I don't think it'd be too much to include all of that really.

I have a gamestop refurbished index and half life alyx once you adapt to the controls, is amazing

I'm working

Working on a bioshock inspired mini game/puzzle. Got the rules, generation, and controls down. Now to knock out a little tutorial to explain the rules, and add a few sound fx and music.

My choice for #RandomGameSaturday cuz I was digging thru things... and it's fun to remember when games came on floppy discs lol Yes, old fanservice games. Knights of Xentar was a mediocre jrpg and Metal & Lace a disappointing fighting game due to laggy controls. Still loved both cuz of cute 😛

- - - enjoying this game far more than I had initially expected. I'll give this a solid 8.5/10. 👍

The initial hook was the mysteries/folklore horror stories which were interesting and way less scary than I had initially feared. Though the controls are awkwardly organized, I feel that might - - -

36th Game Beaten of 2025: World of Horror

I initially was only interested in this due to one trailer + the aesthetic.

Then I hit a rocky start as the UI + controls are obtuse/not intuitive...

...but the more I played, the more I found a strategic depth that was just right 😊 and I ended up - - -

best fucking Zelda game period, I rlly HD got a switch port (with far less bloom and the tingle tuner re-introduced lol) cuz its honestly a much better experience gameplay wise. the boomerang with gyro controls is actual sex, like holy shit

But you’ll never hear me cry over tank controls. They’re alright. Half-Life was a revolutionary experience at the time and it’s still such a great game to play. It’s pretty weird I never got around to play the sequel as much as I liked the original, but at least my memories of (3/8)

San Diego State vs Boise State

Winner controls their own path to the Mountain West championship game.

A trophy neither will give 2 💩s about next year. https://t.co/tpbNUvSZXo

(not the game is a perfect example of "great" responsive controls, but relative to how it handles on a modern layout it's very notable!!)
