This triumph gives the filmmaker Latvian Gints Zilbalodis his first prize of the Academy. "Flow" was made with Blender, a free and open source graphic software that uses computer generated animation. The result is a dreamlike aesthetic combined with a peaceful fable, although postpocalyptic, on a black cat, a dog, a capibara, a ringed tail lemur and a secretary bird that attempt to survive a catastrophic flood.
