Le phénomène a quelque chose de fascinant.
Un peu comme ces organismes extrémophiles.

Dallol is a terrestrial hydrothermal system around a cinder cone volcano in The Danakil Depression in Ethiopia. It has very acidic fluids that discharge from its hydrothermal springs and extremophiles have been documented; providing insights into primitive life c. 4 billion years ago.

all from the lustful greedy unthinking overbreeding of one species of omnivore, causing more pollution than could be processed in human timescale, tripping a geophysical reaction called a Methane Turnover Event. An omnicide down to bacteria, thermal vent life, and extremophiles. 50M yr. recovery.

...n survive in environments previously thought to be uninhabitable.

The discovery of extremophiles has broadened our understanding of the potential conditions under which life could arise and persist on other planets or moons. If life can exist in harsh environments on Earth, it significantly i...

Extremophiles are organisms that thrive in physically or geochemically extreme conditions detrimental to most life on Earth. These can include extreme temperatures, pressures, radiation, acidity, or salinity. Their existence is highly relevant to astrobiology because they demonstrate that life ca...

That depends on a bunch of other factors, such as the nutrient regimen and light availability. It is not inconceivable that in low nutrients / high temperature we'll end up with blobs of nearly sterile water or ones inhabited mostly by extremophiles.

Fantastic.

I guess the extremophiles will survive. Not much else.

do humans count as extremophiles or is it because our adaptation is Tools it doesn't count

The Lesser Flamingo and Adjunct Storks probably take it for me haha lesser flamingos are extremophiles who can survive crazy places like Lake Natron and Adjunct Storks are delightfully gross and recently bouncing back from the danger zone thanks to locals embracing them as beloved neighbors :3

Looks like Rhus. The dominant shrub in this area. A plant in it's native habitat grows so easily, and thrives. That's obvious, but I spend so much time taking care of exotics and extremophiles, it's easy to forget how quick and easy plants can grow. It'll be nice to see what it looks like this year.

If life did exist on Europa in the distant past (when tidal heating was stronger and the seafloor more active), evolution could indeed have produced extremophiles adapted to gradually cooling, darkening, and quieter conditions—perhaps shifting toward...

Yeah, some crazy-ass extremophiles, lol

Liberals that live in the south are extremophiles. They are no better evidence of political redeemability in the south than bacteria at the mouth of a volcano are evidence of good real estate.

Smells like extremophiles! 🦠👃

Microorganisms produce a wide range of molecules with different purposes, from pure waste to defence mechanisms, or even as communication tools.

Is there a possibility that mixotrophs, halophiles, and other extremophiles form a complex food chain where mixotrophs consume chemically stagnant rock until fresh rock is exposed which then reacts with radiolysis compounds formed on the ice surface that are delivered via observed ice fracturing?
We analysed *modern* Europa.

It may have been subject to MUCH more tidal heating at some point in the distant past. If so, there could have been a lot more tectonic activity on the seafloor, at least temporarily.

But it might also mean Europa's seafloor, today... is an alien graveyard.

Some beneficial, some poison, some helpful, & sulfur is anti-aging FYI. Can't imagine why. Perhaps a leftover trait from when extremophiles populated boiling cauldrons and cyanobacteria colonized this planet and led to us?

You need to stop with the absolutism. Hemp is illegal for terrible reasons.

Thankfully, All extremophiles are placed within a fictional legalise of my characterisations.

With all the punditry and the seeking to reassurance to a hustle though. There's going to be more direct handling, as the note-taker. ✍🛋
yeah basically you can't really use the site for anything remotely to do with ai unless you're an extremophile. there's a reason why most of the people who talk about ai the most are Combat Posters, anyone who does not thrive on conflict simply stops bothering to post at some point
Deleted a post that was going viral and bringing an undesirable amount of attention from anonymous accounts. But, I'm going to be honest, the toxic folks here have won. So much of the usage of the site is about avoiding their attention. I'll just use this site to get book recs going forward
