Majority has just released its Bowfell 2 lineup. They're super-compact budget #soundbars with healthy feature sets and the Bowfell Halo Atmos is the range topper. But will it be our under-£200 choice for early 2026? www.avforums.com/reviews/majo...

Looks like Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark from, perhaps, the shoulders of Bowfell? Or maybe an abstraction of the, visible from afar/ recognise them anywhere" central fells? So, familiar in outline but mysterious in texture and colour.

Just back home after a day in The Lakes. A pen & ink sketch this morning at Skelwith Bridge & a watercolour sketch of Bowfell from Elterwater Common this afternoon.

I believe it's Sunny Pike. Bowfell is lurking beyond with the snow.

Final check-in of the year for #nhs1000miles. My total boots-on hiking miles for 2025 is 1107. Pics are from a few unexpected miles in the last week: post shingles and pre (left) knee replacement on 10 January.

I've been up Bowfell, but have never even heard of Glaramara 🫤. I'll put in on my "todo" list. 😊

Disappointing number of replies, it's such a fantastic place.

Mine choices are Glaramara or Bowfell, but so many to choose from and all unique in their own way.

A mountain shenanigan today. Pike of Blisco, Crinkle Crags, Bowfell, Esk Pike and a long route down. Was in cloud until after midday, slipped on a rock and have a bruise on my hip that is painful AF. But a good day, a QMD in the bag and time with my best friend. In all, not bad. Now, beer time.

Bugger. Thought I'd put ALT text on that. It's a pan of the central Lakeland fells, including Bowfell, the Langdale Pikes, and Pavey Ark, from the south east, near High Borrans. In the near distance, green fields sit beneath a wall-to-wall vivid blue sky, save for a few fluffy white clouds.

Need to go back. The boy's only climbed Bowfell once, which is not enough.

Today's #Wainwrightwalk was Rosset Pike via Rosset Ghyll from Old Dungeon Ghyll. I haven't been up here for over 40 years. A good walk for over 65s.We kept just below the mist on the big #hills. @keswickboot.bsky.social @fellsandlakes.bsky.social #LakeDistrict
