So … due to circumstances my mood swings are evidently“normal” and not my “symptoms.” This was told me with such enthusiasm. I’ve won a prize! By being “normal” my feelings are legitimized.

Yeah I could only manage 1.8 miles of this beautiful 5 mile trail -it’s not like 5 miles is a lot - last Saturday due to the physical and emotional exhaustion. Ugh. Also my horse resonates with me so she was really slow and bummed.

I'm rocking the blue stripe with #Bipolar1.
Bipolar is a hard illness to live with, and it's pretty much a life sentence when you're diagnosed. You have to take multiple medications, and it's a constant balancing act between dosages. Many get hospitalized at some point.

I think going down to half a pill of my meds was a good choice. I'm actually getting sleep.

I have biracial children one who is bipolar1 and one who is transgender. I have impactful stories about both of them in WA State. I fully intend to bring my sons bipolar case to the legislature.

Just an aside. I have been taking Lamotrigene since 2017. Solo since I finished weaning off Respirdone in 2019. I have Bipolar1 with extreme manias and it is working incredibly well. I have Ativan prn 2-3 nights when I start hypomania (I slide up from there.) and only take about 15-21 pills a year.

I'm starting to realize that loving someone with #bipolar1 at some point you have to accept that they choose to live segments of their lives in the mania and there's really nothing you can do about it except protect yourself and other family members, hope nothing really bad happens to them […]
