this feels like a strategic error to me. i think it'd be way easier to beat fetterman in a primary than as a unit in battlechess, considering his build and demeanor

I first knew about Interplay with BattleChess. It was a game my dad and I loved to play.
There was a demo I found of it in Battlechess 4000's CD and I got absolutely hooked. By luck I came across a collection with Descent, Descent II, and D2: Vertigo only weeks later. It was the first and only shooter I played for the longest time, and I think that's why it never made me disoriented.

So I heard someone the other day refer to Doom: The Dark Ages as "battle chess." While I can see that, I'm surprised that it hasn't gone the other way; ID should release a "Doom-Themed Battlechess", only with a rabbit instead of a duck.
