#aspire—serving
November 2, 2025 at 6:52 PM
One problem with American elite right now is that there isn’t a great consensus on what social and economic success looks like. Is it toiling in a factory or hosting a podcast? Being an “influencer” or serving others? We need something to aspire to, and no one is stepping up with new ideas.
Lutnick: "It's time to train people not to do the jobs of the past, but to do the great jobs of the future. This is the new model where you work in these kinds of plants for the rest of your life and your kids work here and your grandkids work here. We let the auto plants go overseas."

I got pulled into serving in an interim capacity of supervising a thing at work. How are there people in this world that aspire to this nonsense?

A kind, caring person who worked throughout his life to better the world. No grandstanding, no self-serving acts. We should all aspire to be more like Jimmy Carter. Thank you, Sir.

In four months the orange rapist has taken America from the pinnacle of what countries aspire to to a country people want nothing to do with. Art of the deal my ass. He’s a stable genius my ass. He’s just a pathetic little self serving bitch who wields the power of the American presidency. He has

I aspire to have Phil Dunphy energy in a very queer and femme way.

I wanna be serving Mommy and giving Phil Dunphy.

A life dedicated to serving others is the life we should all aspire to live.

Faceless bureaucrats like I aspire to be often have multiple graduate degrees and a deep understanding of of issues within their discipline. These not mere paper pushers. Nor do we make arbitrary decisions. We are conscientious professionals serving the public to the best of our abilities.

My favorite part is how Steinbaum gives away the game at his third to last paragraph:

“who should be in power? Trump? Harris? Or us?”

HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING TO BE IN ANY WAY IN POWER IF TRUMP WINS, DIPSHIT?

btw, idc how much of an anarchist or whatever you are, if you can’t hold your nose for local elections to keep your community safe you’re just a nihilist & you are no good to my people when we’re in danger.

voting isn’t enough, but it could have helped the kids who now have to survive this school.

Isn’t Tammy just an incredible person. A person who with tremendous courage overcame extreme circumstances but did not let that be the end of her life. What a shining light for all to aspire to. She is still serving her country … she is the best of us

I aspire to your level of economic illiteracy… why are bond yields suddenly higher… who makes the (self-serving/perhaps necessary) decision to raise those rates?

There's a tension here that goes unaddressed. The notion of an altruistic hero is positioned as, in a sense, collectivist, but that idea is another sense deeply individualistic. Self-sacrificing he may be, but there is only one Superman, and his personal greatness is what we aspire to.

Okay I think this is probably the pick, because it perfectly captures the exact energy I aspire to 💕💕💕

🤓 My #AzureCosmosDB Repository-Pattern #nuget package now includes support for #dotnet #aspire—serving as a "client integration" and works with the existing "hosting integration":

IRepository FTW.

Not all MPs. But too many of them. Way too many. The system is rotten. It takes people who aspire to serving the public, throws money at them in a multitude of ways and what they end up as, really doesn't have public service as a priority.

There was a time I never understood BDSM or the collar. But then when I learnt the beauty of submissiveness, the collar actually became something to aspire & arouse me. I began having such strong desires of serving, being a slave, totally submissive, even deeply aroused.
A collar for subs is one of the most fundamental symbols of their relationship and one that is usually guarded and protected with their heart. 🖤

"A statesman is a politician who’s been dead for 15 years." - Will Rogers
Congress-
Some Republicans strove for statesmanship as most of them devolved into MaGA sycophants serving the Trump demagogue.
While most Democrats still aspire to be true statesmen/women.

So excited to slay as Ada Wong in the new Separate Ways DLC in Resident Evil 4 Remake (thanks for the code, Capcom!)

She’s my absolute favorite RE character, serving the stylish queen-like energy I aspire to give 💅🏼

See you at 1pm PDT for ✨ iconic behavior ✨

Mr Pakes: to my mind, "get a grip", from a serving MP, to someone whose personal context you do not know, itself does not accord with the (better than X) "level of discourse" you appear to aspire to here.

Is there a higher purpose a thumb monkey can aspire to than "provider of lap for higher life form"?

Philosophical question for the ages. It's a good thing we invented smart phones so we could chat about it while serving our divinely ordained function.

This hunk of rubber is glad you agree. It hopes that you may find a similar mantra to aspire to.

Until all are faceless, blank rubber objects serving each other. Until all are perfectly null.
