The certainty of the AGGV likely plays a role in the bank lending the money. The proposed office project at Blanshard/Fisgard stalled after BC Ferries bailed as a potential tenant.

Because you can't put the AGGV in a big building with a Discovery Coffee, Burger Crush, an eyelash bar and a fitness centre in the podium and call it a cultural district.

The RBCM has had Carr gallery plans for decades. Given the state of things for arts and culture i will be surprised (pleasantly) if we get another gallery - and tbh ill be surprised if AGGV moves

The AGGV has been jerked around for decades. Since 1983 they've been promised a new space and the plan always crumbles. 🤞

Past proposed new AGGV sites:
-St. Ann's Academy
-Hydro lands at Pembroke/Store
-Parkade site at Centennial Sq.
-Store/Discovery
-Belleville @ Douglas
-Store/Discovery AGAIN

I came back exhausted after the AGGV Moss St. art walk. Perfect temperature for a stroll. Awed by all the creative talent in our area. And discovered a Tornado Potato is my newest favourite food. My 96 year old special mom was ticked we missed the corn dog exhibit, but she smiled at the Langos.
