Something unexpected happened at the @meidascanada.ca town hall in Victoria.
A group of young Afghan girls who escaped the Taliban showed up and asked to speak. They told their story of the fight for education and the need for Canada to help.

My sister had a starter house with a pink bathroom. Pink walls, pink tile, pink tub, and the only (thankfully) pink toilet I've every seen.
I suspect the bathroom was why the the house was in the starter price range.

I love the intricate geometry in this style. Ruler and compass is a little too ambitious for me, but I tried replicating a rosette window with the circle/arc function in Inkscape.

I learned lots from this run. Most important, if you're going to file the plate edges smooth, don't do it where you'll be printing! The little plastic bits get everywhere.

Drypoint on 4"x5" acrylic plate, printed on 6"x9" stock.
