This is best collection of this kind I’ve seen. Even the furniture is impeccably cool. Yeah yeah VCS3 blah blah but that ceiling fan is amazing. Too bad I’d have to buy a whole new house or something for it to work. At the very least I demand a high quality photo book/pdf of all items

While this isn’t the wall of noise that would come, I would say this is a wall of synth. Pumping Robert Fripp’s guitar through Brian Eno’s joystick controlled, briefcase size, Synthi VCS3 creates a truly unique sound that lays on top of the rock-solid rhythm section of Alomar, Murray, and Davis.

Having a VCS3 sort of afternoon & channeling Rubycon like FX with the addition of lots of analogue FX.
VCS3 > Moogerfooger Phaser then Delay > Wellspring.
Interesting addition sending in arpeggiations from the Arturia Keystep via one of the hi-level inputs on the VCS3.

I did some digging but nothing specific but there were a few mentions of string synths so could be a Solina. It’s that sound , like from the soundtrack to Clockwork Orange that made me think it might be one. It’s so cold , harsh and bleak. Much like the 70’s ( to me).

Hawkwind - Warrior on the Edge of Time
Released on May 9, 1975.
Warrior on the Edge of Time is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Hawkwind. Many of the lyrics are by Michael Moorcock, and the album is loosely based on the concept of Moorcock's novel The Eternal Champion. Assault and Battery/ The Golden Void, by Hawkwind is the opening sequence from their album Warrior on the Edge of Time, released on this day 50 years ago in 1975. The album found the band at a crossroad with conflicts between its members, but they delivered the goods with this opener. The keyboards work is great on this album, courtesy of Simon House, who joined after being a member of Third Ear Band on the excellent album Music from Macbeth. He later joined David Bowie and was part of the band that recorded the live album Stage. The Quietus wrote this about the album: "With electronics experts Dik Mik and Del Detmarr both having left the mothership, it was Simon House’s altogether more lush textures of Mellotron, violin and EMS VCS3 synthesizer that dominated the soundscape. No longer the bleeps and bloops of rudimentary audio generators, wah wah peddles and ring modulators: Hawkwind were straying into the dubious realms of symphonic prog rock." This was the last Hawkwind album with bass player Lemmy (Ian Kilmister). His last song for the band was Motorhead, the B-side to the single Kings of Speed. The song inspired the name of his next band, Motörhead. Lemmy plays a great bass line to open the song. Also an excellent sax solo here by Nik Turner.
