I'm surprised City On The Edge of Forever was left out. Its ranked #1 by most Trekkies.

I see you don't have much respect for Trekkies.

Trekkies are the damn best, y'all.
I finally finished this Enterprise D LCARS cross stitch! Was supposed to take about a year, but longcovid had other plans for my brain and ability to count. So it's been over four years instead. It has a bazillion-jillion stitches in it.

there's a few reasons hardcore trekkies don't like them, I enjoy them, think they're fun, etc.

I REALLY liked Into Darkness when I watched it as a teenager, then watched TWOK and realize that it's not even close as a remake.

So, quick question ... If you've been out of the 'Star Trek' loop for a few years & not watched a series in a while 😳😲- sorry, Trekkies! - which series do you recommend to pick it up again!? 👍😍

EG. Picard, Strange New Worlds, Starfleet Academy ... or another!? 😎

Thank you for your attention. 💖

It ripped-off 2001 quite a bit. Kubrick is the superior director and had the superior vision. Only hardcore Trekkies love this film.

Doubt anyone will get this reference outside of Trekkies, but I had to.

Trekkies is best of all of them.
January 23, 2026 at 11:46 PM
I think 1 is bland but inoffensive, a fun 3/5 film to watch with your family that doesn't know Trek. Into Darkness is insulting to both Trekkies and normies who only saw 1 because it's a worse version of a better film and its script is full of holes.

For the very new non-Trekkies who follow me, this was legitimately a reason people said they gave up on Star Trek Enterprise for

We are an unserious fandom 🫠

The man really went from Talarian drama, to Vulcan calm, to full‑on Klingon fury like it was nothing. Some actors guest star — Sherman Howard speed‑runs the alien roster.

Which version of him hit hardest for you — Vulcan logic, Talarian intensity, or Klingon chaos?

Heard you're watching Starfleet Academy, BlueSky is the place to discuss it, there're a bunch of Trekkies here.
January 23, 2026 at 11:16 PM
Wait, has the consensus now moved to First Contact Bad, Actually? I always had a sense that it was one of the films most Trekkies held in high regard.
January 23, 2026 at 10:51 PM
This is so self reporting, because for actual Trekkies (yes, I'm gatekeeping fandom from these people) one of the funniest running jokes is the way a main character sits down.

Most definitely #trekkies
Got a ton of comments on my Starfleet Academy review calling it "woke" and when I explained that Star Trek has always been progressive people started fighting about how the franchise was never as in your face back in the day and yeah totally, it used to be SUPER subtle
January 23, 2026 at 2:45 PM
I get the impression that few Trekkies watch TOS any more. And you're right, it was not subtle. Especially if you recall that that the Cold War, the Vietnam War, the Civil Rights movement, Environmentalism and Second Wave feminism were all in everybody's minds when they were watching it.

MAGA Trekkies really are the biggest freaks on the planet. Complaining about Star Trek being "woke" is like complaining about violence in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They are just upset it's not a replica of 90s TV as they are stuck in the past. Member-Berries always turn into Sour Grapes
January 23, 2026 at 7:46 AM
The fucks saying "this isn't star trek" ain't trekkies. They're fucking tourists who never understood what Trek was about in the first place.

I've grown up with Trek, I saw Generations in theaters as a very young child because my parents couldnt find a babysitter. SFA is wonderful Trek.

Loved the bit between La'Forge and Worf.

If there's one thing about Worf I've always found amusing is how he can Eat things the rest of the Crew may not find Good at all and give a "Delicious." response lol

-Loved seeing the Enterprise at DS9!

Any of my fellow #Trekkies think that whenever we see a Hologrid we know that is the Sign of La'forge?

Can't help but think that every time I see those Hologrid Lines.
