It would be cool with an open source alternative to Tapatalk for Android. Heck. It would be awesome to see it on the desktop as well. Imagine being able to access all your forums in one place with one consistent UI that you can tweak to your liking.

Ah, I remember Invision. They had one of the nicer forum setups for a long while. As for Tapatalk, that's absolutely brutal, doubly so because the no contact alongside "nope, we're just going to lock things down and keep it that way" methods.

No such contact had ever happened with our forum, and no such offer was ever made to us.
All our attempts to contact Tapatalk over this, were never even acknowledged let alone answered.
They took away practically everything just to add a "Make a Donation" section.

We searxhed and found a post on Invision's own boards covering news and system problems they had.
It detailed that Tapatalk was taking over and that all Forum owners would be contacted to see if they want their forum to stay with Invision or be automatically transferred to Tapatalk's system.

Mm, Signal doesn't have the best rep; I've used Tapatalk with a couple other teams and it's pretty effective for organizing threads and discussions. It's definitely not the place to build a following though; more a private clubhouse to invite people to.
