Apparently my new house was built between 1850 and 1860. That's pretty old.
Yet the level 3 surveyor said there were no significant issues. That's pretty bold.

William Fulton Beith Mackay was born in Paisley in 1922 but grew up among the shipyards of Clydebank, raised by his aunt after his mother died. He trained as a Quantity Surveyor before later being refused entry to the RAF on medical grounds, ultimately joining the Black Watch.

You could do cosmetic home renovations, and you'll be working alone. You could also gain experience in the construction industry, such as as a surveyor or inspector, or take building measurements.

That looks like a nice graveyard to do a plant survey in.

I found out recently Everest was not named after an actual mountaineer, or even the guy who 'discovered' it, but the surveyor-general of India at the time. He himself didn't think it should be named for him. And he pronounced his own name 'Eve-rest' apparently. So, well.
