EVEN THOUGH I DONT KNOW A LOT ABOUT THE REAL RACEHORSES i love hearing about your oriuma!! it sounds like you put a lot of thought and care into them, it seems like you do what uma does with taking real life facts n elements while making them a chara too which i think is a respectful balance!

I get so nervous about posting about my oriuma mostly because I have a lot of respect for the real racehorses but I'm overly concerned about spreading wrong information about them/mischaracterizing them or their jockeys. orz

He was an organic farmer at one point after retirement, but I don't love the hobnobbing amongst the crowd that breeds and trains elite racehorses.

Beauty specialist Micheline Lugeon wanted racehorses to boost her business, she told a doping-plot trial jury yesterday. The idea was to name racehorses after her beauty creams, she claimed. Miss Lugeon denied having anything to do with the doping of racehorses. The case continues.

Will say this is def my wake up call to "oh right, having a decent pedigree is bare minimum for racehorses and not a guarantee of anything" lmao
Silver lining for me is that if she doesn't end up racing much then that's less opportunities for her to get hurt, praying she gets cared for well
