The plan was to go to Scotsdales for lunch, however we took one look at the people queueing out of the door of the cafe and just bought some plants instead (and cakes in the new deli/food hall) before heading home via the bakery in Shelford and getting back just before the heavy rain.

Also if you do go to Notre Dame (and it is as stunning as everyone says) - you need to book on line (for free on the Notre dame website) and get there as early as possible. Otherwise it’s just a wild insanity of queueing. No 12 yr old will think it’s worth hanging around that long.
