Powell Memo explains a lot. Maybe it seems to them that ending segregation, small shifts in social equality for people typically kicked down, and some power to regulate corporations are an epic crisis worth killing democracy and the constitution for. scholarlycommons.law.wlu.edu/powellmemo/

Neocons are career politicians, progressives are not.

Neocons followed the 1972 #PowellMemo and won.

Progressives don’t have a plan, they observe events.

The answer is simple: Run for any and every elected office. Follow the Powell Memo with progressive values.
Platner: No one cares that you pretend to be remorseful as you sell out to lobbyists. Symbolic opposition does not reopen hospitals. Weak condemnations do not bring back Roe V Wade. Maine deserves better than Susan Collins.

Neocons followed the 1972 #PowellMemo as a blueprint for gov & society takeover. They’ve been chipping away at our democracy for 43+ yrs & this is the result. Sadly @TheDemocrats drank the kool-aid & have done little to stop them. #ProgressiveAgenda

The #PowellMemo destroys us.

"[C]ampuses are supported by (i) tax funds generated largely from American business, and (ii) contributions from capital funds [from] American business. The boards of trustees of our universities overwhelmingly are composed of men & women who are leaders in the system."

They followed the 1972 #PowellMemo & won.

Neocons continue to wipe out any incremental progress progressives make.

The answer is: Run for every elected office. Follow the Powell Memo with progressive values.

No, it goes back to a memo written by Lewis Powell in 1971. Powell wound up on the Supreme Court and his memo was the blueprint for all of this.

The canard that reactionary conservatism is purely, well, reactionary, completely misunderstands the idea that the actions and/or reactions have been proportional. Was the Powell Memo a reaction to Nader's Unsafe At Any Speed? Ostenisbly, yes. 1/ scholarlycommons.law.wlu.edu/powellmemo/

Progressives need to follow the 1972 #PowellMemo & get ppl into ofc at local, city, county, state & fed levels as well as orgs. Not all are elected positions. Neocons started w/school boards & disruptive tactics like shills & slogans.
