Whatever you do, avoid NordVPN like the plague; as a provider, they're responsible for a wildly disproportionate amount of our abusive traffic relative to their market share and so on the user end, about as many of their IPs are restricted or blocked like everywhere as Tor exit nodes are.

iTrolledU believes, and I'm inclined to agree, that the actual FFXIV servers are not being DDoSed and it's likely an NTT node, which can be routed around if that's the case.

Early data looks encouraging if you use ExitLag or NordVPN and route to Los Angeles, or use Cloudflare WARP.
