Home and heart full. Saw Zootopia today with some fellow furs, and had dinner with two very lovely new friends. Also reconnected with a fur that I lost touch with while I was going through my burnout. So happy to talk to him again. Hopefully, we can get together soon! ☺️

Job loss due to AI "replacing" people means companies should begin paying higher taxes to fund universal basic income. Business can't have their cake and eat it, too.
Either give people an opportunity to earn an income via a salary, or pay into a social program that supports them.

I think a long-term goal for me is to be able to host friends at the holidays who are outcast or otherwise uncomfortable around their families. It's not fair that some folks only have family that don't or won't understand them, and wish to make them uncomfortable even at these happy times.

Southern Living Carrot Cake is 2/3 done... also found out that my oven has about a 4 degree lean to the front... guess I'll have to fix that this weekend.
If you're unfamiliar, this cake is soaked in a buttermilk caramel glaze that is to die for. I'd happily eat it off of anything. 🥴🥴🥴

This Thanksgiving is going to be so subdued... Just me, Mrs. B and the kids. MIL has disowned me and SIL is working. No other family or friends nearby, so it's gonna be quiet.

Maybe I am fragile, but at least I've been honest about it. 2025 has been a hard year for me, and I've had to come to terms with a lot. I might be a little emotionally raw, but damn it, I also try to remain positive and happy. I just feel like I'm never going to make new friends that understand me.

I really am starting to get the sense that I'm not welcome in my local furry community. I guess I should have listened to the friend that told me to be careful with them.

Why can't I find anyone fun (read: not a creep) near me? I live between two rather decently sized metropolitan areas, you'd think it would be a target rich environment. And all the guys I find in the fandom are barely legal... nah, too young bro.

I tried to go to a fur event... ended up having a panic attack because I felt like I didn't belong. At this rate, I'm just going to be friendless for the rest of my life.
