#Mythology
Christianity is no different than Norse Mythology or the culture of the Romans or ancient Greeks to MAGA. It's just a piece of The West, and not a terribly important one at that. You give lip service to it but anything in The Bible or churches isn't terribly useful to them theologically.

I just reposted Al*x Harrow, and fwiw she's a great author as well as politically active. I just finished The Everlasting, which asks what would happen if a government manipulated its own mythology via time travel to create a more militant country. Features a butch lady knight & her scholar lover 🗡️

Medusa
An exceptionally evil and ugly monster from ancient Greek mythology.
Her ugliness and evil were so powerful that a single glance into her eyes turned any creature into cold, dead stone.

And yes this extends to all world mythology that is basically propaganda for the patriarchy.

I was a weird classics major in that I never liked mythology (it's very sexist), which is not to say I didn't learn it all anyway because it's unavoidable as a classics major, but if you claim to be a mythology fan and don't at least know some basic Greek pronunciation (like "ch" = k), I do judge.

Warren attempts to rewrite reality to fit the Democrat mythology of victimhood. She describes a violent agitator as a saint because his targets were the enforcers of American sovereignty. (Continued in comments)…

This dense and incantatory fable from musician and poet Saul Williams and multimedia artist Morgan Sorne melds political critique, spirituality, and Afro-mythology with cyberpunk imagery. It’s a graphic poem of resistance wonderfully told through Afrofuturistic flare. @01FirstSecond buff.ly/X8Ifbye

Sounds incredibly confused and kratos will just seem like an original character dropped in norse mythology. Bizarre choice.
January 29, 2026 at 7:40 PM
No it does not. The whole reason the second trilogy is interesting is because of the set up and that a fully explored Greek Myth character who lived in that world moved into a different mythology. Now he will just seem like a random Norse myth character

Sworn was a fun game if you like hades or any rougelikes, recommend. Based on arthurian mythology. Great and busted builds

Book 3: Norse Mythology

I remembered some of these stories from college days (and likely filtered through Marvel comics/movies), but the retellings/imaginings kept them intriguing enough for this additional interaction with them. Went down smooth. #booksky

yup, it took me a while when talking about propoganda to start referring to their bubbles narrative as mythology, or my perfered framing republican fan fiction.

Sorry, lost the context here.
Which old mythology?

Incredibly funny that they’re only doing the Norse mythology part of God of War for TV because if they adapt the Greek era games, everybody’s gonna realize Kratos is a real son of a bitch that did not deserve any redemption LMAO

Hey 1TK
I'm sure you have a roadmap for what you want to implement and when, but ....

if you have room for suggestions for a character:
Odysseus as a figure from Greek mythology.
I think the character would fit in really well with your game,

I am not an atheist because, somehow, I believe we are all connected. Perhaps through some human spirit that I do not care to explain or rationalize. It is just there and I accept it.
Others, need religion or mythology to explain to themselves the fear that they will eventually die. I do not.

right. there's a lot of mythology at work behind these decisions I think. it's sad to see

Just finished listening to the newest episode of The Blindboy Podcast. If you like casual convos about mythology & folklore, I recommend. Tho, the way they spoke about myth really reminded me of how Sophie Strand speaks of mythic mycelium. Def check her out too.
