A monochrome wall-mounted world map in a restaurant. It’s distributed across 9 panels side-by-side, spanning just over two booths. The top and bottom of the map are cropped out. It uses the Mercator projection, which makes things drastically larger as they get closer to the north and south poles. This particular map has also been stretched horizontally without respecting aspect ratio, so the distortion is even more pronounced.

About time that we change the way we look at the world map, away from the #mercatorprojection, towards #equalearthprojection. Greenland is not that big, Africa is not that small. We need to stop the misrepresentation of the size of countries #correctthemap.
