Systematic execution of hundreds in a hospital in Darfur, as RSF/Janjaweed take over the city of El Fasher (population ~250k) in Darfur.
That adds to an estimated 150,000+ death toll from fighting, plus many more from famine.
But Sudan is one of those places the outside world cares little about.

This news is about as bad as it gets. After over 550 days of SIEGE, #Elfasher has now been taken by the Rapid Support Forces (a rebranded Janjaweed, who committed the 2003-5 genocide in Darfur)... and the violence that has followed is horrific. www.bbc.com/news/article...

The RSF in Sudan is the Janjaweed militia that was convicted of genocide in Darfur. It is the armed group that European governments funded in the name if reducing African migration to Europe. It is the group that the United Arab Emirates is funding in exchange for illegal gold mining.

They do not care as the victims are Black, not white-presenting Arabs, so they think that is the default for Black Africans and just watch these people getting killed by the RSF/Janjaweed.

(And to anyone who's unclear: neither the SAF (official government forces) or RSF (related to the Janjaweed militias) are good, but the RSF is much worse, and it's annoying as hell that the UAE has gone all-in on backing them as part of a regional power play)

Accountability for #Janjaweed crimes incl rape, murder, torture, forcible transfer. Pleased to see in particular the accountability for SGBV; some #justice for the many girls & women raped in this awful conflict & #genocide in #Sudan. I hope it will be a deterrent to those committing current crimes.

The world's biggest humanitarian crisis - the UAE-sponsored Sudan civil war - is still ignored.
The United Arab Emirates is complicit due to its support for the RSF (formerly Janjaweed militias).
Of course we must protest the Gaza genocide, but we must not forget Ukraine and Sudan.
