Wasn’t that Picasso? Or did Dali also do a Guernica?

You know Dali's work "Guernica"? Literally about how the Falange came in and massacred a Basque town by calling in both the Fascists (sensu Mussolini) and the Nazi Condor Legion to bomb the town

You know "Pan's Labyrinth"? Also about how the Falange took over (from a kid's perspective)

Further elaboration that the portrait gallery is also interpretive and anchored by a large piece depicting Boudicca in an Alphonse Mucha-inspired portrait.

I want to stick with the theme of historic figures in anachronistic style.

John Brown a la Guernica is one of the ideas.

I stuck to the 20th century for this one.

Latin America must unite, or it will be treated as a servant and a slave, not as the vital center of the world.

But the first South American capital to be bombed, just like Hitler’s bombing of Guernica, cannot be forgotten. Friends do not bomb.

Originally I was going to fly into Barcelona. But instead I switched to Madrid (life long dream to see Guernica). Then flying down to Málaga, train to Ciudad Real, and back to Madrid. Hope to fit a side trip to Córdoba in there also.

I'm so excited! I hope they don't hate me.
