#Factorio-like
Thanks for suggestions!

Frankly seeing how Factorio goes in the hopes to have a 'family server' for them & me to play on XD

But I'll have to take a look! They really have only done 'point & click' from the 90s like Putt-Putt— their level of dexterity is limited lol

Completed Factorio space age DLC blind (no guides/tutorials/blueprints) in just under 100 hours! The game has come a long way from when the win objective was just the "rocket defense" item.

The platform made heavy use of the new set recipe of the circuit network to dynamically change recipes

I played 1800 and I got given 117, I love the games, kind of a resource management, automation, city building hybrid. I like cities skylines, banished, farthest frontier, rimworld, Factorio, this kind of sits as an amalgamation of all of them, but then I haven't done land combat yet (only 30hrs in)

I'll never forgive Kovarex. Not least of all because I've never found a game that tickles the neurons quite like Factorio did.

If you like time moving at the current speed it does for you, don’t ever play Factorio. I’ve made a terrible mistake downloading this game.

I haven't played Factorio because it's not on Xbox like Satisfactory is. Also Factorio is like terraria with its layout and graphics so it's not really my thing.

factorio k2se base-two is finally past preprocessing. now i can start automating things (starting with cargo rockets so i can go to space and start doing Space Science once i have some base materials like belts automated)

Because dystopian fiction is often more interesting. I like ruining the environment in Factorio and killing the bugs who, actually, are in the right and simply defending themselves and their planet. I like the "ruined planet" aesthetic. And big weapons and destructive machines.

Been playing a shit ton of Factorio Space Age and yesterday I landed on Fulgora and now I keep thinking of Delta going fucking bonkers and attempting to chug the oil oceans

To her it’s like an ocean of soda

Factorio is like Stardew Valley, once you get deep into it and start enjoying it, it grabs onto any amount autism you have and you're now addicted for life.

Let's catch up on some long Factorio streams. On Halloween I had this one: youtu.be/NrG4_wXQ_Ds

Honestly there's nothing terribly exciting in here. I finish up a lot of little scattered products, and end it with an idea of what it's like getting started on Gleba with absolutely nothing. I do think

Big Minecraft tech mods from around when *I* started playing like industrialcraft were obviously huge inspirations for factorio, which was of course the jumping off point from the whole genre

I'm going to be chilling and chatting while playing some Factorio tonight. A couple of people are interested to see what my set up looks like and I'm on a Factorio kick anyways, so why not. Come and check out what the spaghetti chef is cooking. www.twitch.tv/ubahootah

Exactly like when I deadlock my trains in Factorio
November 7, 2025 at 7:46 PM
yeah i got really addicted to factorio two years ago and that began to feel like a job towards the end

Simulation games are definitely what I think of constantly in regards to this. A game like Factorio never "loops" - it just progresses. The way you play it in the beginning is not the way you play it 7 hours later, nor 15, nor 30, etc, etc

You might get a boost in performance with a linux version (I hear Factorio is great on it), but a big thing is modding should be bit easier. I get a headache thinking about what folder proton or whatever wine varient saves stuff, like with Path of Exile's loot filters.
