darjeeling is obvious but lesser known fact is peony is named after pai mu tan, or bai mudan, which is “white peony tea”— i have several other xiv alts all named after tea as well.

Made some Desi breakfast ♥️ earlier today for @semantisinharay.bsky.social aloo sabzi was made with red potatoes 🥔 and green peas 🫛 and tempered with a Punjabi paratha masala mix. Garnished with green chillies & fresh coriander 🌿served with steaming mug of brewed Darjeeling 🫖 I do this well. 😌

We had a Halloween-themed Afternoon Tea at Haute Couture in Meguro, and the food was quite good, but the tea was also fantastic! (And had free refills! We started with Earl Grey and then had 3 or 4 pots of Darjeeling)

Due to a late connecting flight, I just had a very “Darjeeling Limited” experience running across the tarmac, bag in hand, onto a waiting airplane on my way to St. John’s. (Yes, they closed the door right behind me.)

I have enjoyed (non-alcoholic) iced black Tea when in the USA. Very refreshing on a hot day, (albeit with too much sugar). But you are correct, biscuits are served with a proper hot black tea with milk (English Breakfast, Assam, Ceylon, Darjeeling etc) sugar is optional according to taste. 😊
