I mixed 50% glycerin w/ 50% Elmer's glue and it took about 6 days for the left over glue to dry.
The result is this very soft squishy rubber like substance.
I am trying to make my own notepads and I have been looking into how to make homemade bookbinders glue.
50/50 = rubber.
10/90 = almost right

Yeah, Philly has a lot of upscale places. Surprisingly to some degree. My all time favorite was Old Bookbinders that closed a couple of decades ago but what a place and what history!

On my desk today: unravelling the print records from the (fully digitised by @nhmlibraryarchives.bsky.social ) artwork of Henry Woodward's Table of British Strata. I particularly enjoyed the sarky note to future bookbinders! 🤣
