A thing I’m noticing is that many of the people I’ve followed since the Bad Place, who used to speak in measured or cautious tones, are now sounding alarms and using epithets. Tom is the same, demands correct terminology but consistently points out risks. But overall the tone is more worried.

The direction from ICE/CBP management in MN seems to be to detain *anyone* nonwhite of foreign birth, irrespective of whether they’re a naturalized citizen, green card holder, have other protected status. They know many will not be able to contest. It’s just ethnic cleansing. Un-American.

I don’t know, but it seems inevitable that Trump and his toadies will push harder and harder for accelerant events. They only have a year to get to full fascism before the midterms drag the pendulum back. Paradoxically those events will make it worse for them. It’s all or nothing.
