There is no magical referee who will see how polite and decent Minnesotans are and step in to prevent the bloodshed. There IS violence in the streets, right now, being inflicted by the federal government. This is not a sustainable state of affairs.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

I have been working with Buddhism a lot the past year. Days like today are a huge challenge to manage my anger at the cruelty we see on display with some ideal of universal compassion for all beings, including those who create suffering out of delusion and aversion. I don't have an answer.
