Traveling through Norway, I experienced so many fjords in different lighting and weather conditions. I loved how the reflections in the water could change suddenly and dramatically. This started out as a plein air painting from the view of my studio window, but the morning light changed to dull gray and snow. The rest was finished from memory, and I purposefully separated some of the marks to make it more mosaic-like.
